COVID-19 Vaccine policies and recommendations for pregnant and lactating people worldwide.

United Arab Emirates

As of 1/6/2023 United Arab Emirates' position on Covid-19 vaccination while pregnant is not recommended, and its position on vaccination while lactating is not recommended.

The U.A.E. appears to have different policies on vaccine use in pregnancy and lactation federally and by emirate. The federal level policy presented below may not accurately reflect the emirate-specific policies. For example, the Dubai Health Authority has promoted vaccination in pregnancy since June 2021. For more information, please see the links below.

Policy timeline

Based upon our document reviews, this timeline shows when each policy changed position, from most recent to oldest. The policy positions shown reflect the most permissive at that point in time, even if policies were more restrictive for specific vaccines.
